Introduction
This guide will walk you through how to link document and clinical note templates to specific appointment types in your system. By setting these up, you can ensure the correct forms and notes are always ready for your clinic staff. Take your time to review the options, as this helps streamline your daily workflow.
1. Navigate to Appointment Types
Click on 'Appointment Types' in the left-hand menu under the Settings section.

2. Select an appointment type
Choose the appointment type you want to link a template to. 'Emergency Appointment' is used here as an example.

3. Review current template associations
Once an appointment type is selected, you can view its current configurations. For example, you will see the clinical note template that is currently assigned to appear on the notes.

4. Add a document template
Click 'Add' next to Document Templates to link a new document to this appointment type.

5. Select a document template to add
Browse or search the list of available templates, then click the plus icon next to the one you want to associate with this appointment type.

6. Minimise the document templates section
Once you have added the required document templates, click 'Manage' to minimise this section and return to the main configuration view.

7. Set up a Document Flow
Click on 'Document Flow' to configure documents that will automatically generate when this appointment type is completed.

8. Click "Create Document Flow"
Click the "Create Document Flow" button to set up automatic document generation for this appointment type.

9. Click "Add Document"
Click the "Add Document" button to start adding templates to your new document flow.

10. Select a document template
Choose the document template you want to add to the flow. You can select one or more templates from the list.

11. Add the selected templates
Once you have chosen your templates and preferred note style, click "Add Template" to save your selection to the document flow.

12. Open the document menu
Click the three-dot menu next to the document in your flow to view more options.

13. Switch to the Condition tab
Click the "Condition" tab to set up rules for when this document should be generated.

14. Enter a conditional rule
Type a rule in plain English to describe exactly when this document should be generated.

15. Save your changes
Click "Save Changes" to apply your conditional rule to the document template.
